The Loss of a Pet: Grief and Love

I have been reminded of how much the loss of our pets can bring grief and pain a number of times this week, and several times this year through the experiences of clients and friends. The wave of departures has been remarkable, not just for the number of animals moving on, but also for their special nature: each one that I have known or know of has been extraordinary in its own way, perhaps through personality or longevity, and the unique nature of its soul.
