Beaver Truth

The effects of a powerful Beaver Moon last week are reverberating still, and its message of change will last for two years before a new cycle of astrological drama gets under way.

Restlessness and resistance are visible everywhere, on display in Europe and the USA particularly at the moment but tangible in the under-currants of politics and society in many other parts of the world as people argue over freedom and compliance, equality and discrimination, and liberalism and conservatism.  Even the critical issue of planetary well-being has become a political football, dropped when it is too uncomfortable to handle and the news moves on in its constant search for distraction and novelty, often based on mind-numbing sensationalism.

Our reluctance to demand and see the truth of the great events of our time is extraordinary.  Sometimes it is easier to say “Yes” to what we are told than to question it, whether it is over being vaccinated against COVID or believing there is a dark plot to destroy the world.  There are many incidents of information put forward by experts and accepted as absolute that have subsequently been found to be wrong, and it is concerning how the modern media, still influential, can ignore the truth when it does not support their agenda.  The long-running FBI investigation into Donald Trump’s Russian connections, for example, has been shown to have been based on political chicanery and lies with serious questions for the FBI and the Democrats, but a potential and inconvenient scandal goes largely unmentioned.

More and more we are being encouraged to think as others want us to think, or not to think at all.  Not only are politicians becoming increasingly involved in the minutiae of our lives, but social media and the technology conglomerates, like Google and Amazon, are controlling what we see online and driving us to make choices to suit them.  They are playing mind games, taken to nightmare extremes in Facebook’s development of Metaverse which has the intention for users to live in a constant virtual world divorced from reality.

It does not have to be this way, and it is up to each of us to ensure we are not duped unquestioningly into belief and acceptance that is imposed for the benefit (power and money) of others.  It is our responsibility to determine for ourselves what we choose to think and how we choose to live.  It can be hard to find the truth but it is there, and often common sense, asking questions and seeing the world in simple terms will guide us to the information we need.  Looking for it can be uncomfortable and we may not like it when we find it, but the more we close our eyes and hide from what we need to see, the more we will lose control of our soul and human journey.

There is no point in being alive if we do not choose and change, see, learn and grow for ourselves.  Life is an adventure based on the unknown: if you can, unless you so choose, do not let it be one controlled by Mark Zuckerberg or Boris Johnson.  Like the Beaver Moon with its message of change, you have power too.
