Sunday’s Equinox is remarkable for marking the three quarter point of an eventful year, for bridging two extraordinary seasons and, shamanically, for being betwixt and between two different worlds.
If you remember the significance of 23rd September 2018, you may see it as the last day of summer as you enjoy the sunshine or you may notice the turning of the colour of the leaves and the last of the summer visiting birds preparing to fly away on their long journey. On another side of the world you may sigh with relief as winter ends officially.
You may reflect, on Sunday, on what 2018 has brought so far – no cataclysmic world disaster but personal sadness as many lives have suffered through storms and drought, with more happening now. There is a sense of instability and the promise of more to come, but there is, too, the knowledge of a planetary foundation based on Spirit and optimistic inevitability.
You may look ahead with unease or anticipation to the last three months of a year of legend – though we do not see it as such yet; you may be aware of the merging of worlds and the separating of worlds too as materialism clashes with the New Consciousness and spiritual energy pours upon us, to be gratefully received or driven away. How do you feel about it? Do you ever ask yourself?
This Equinox will be a day of highlights, and you will see and respond to it according to your personality and your soul. How you think about it may reflect how you feel about yourself and the world that you have created, your vulnerabilities and your strengths, and your relationship with nature and with Spirit.
It will be a special day of heightened energy and great opportunity, and as your day ends, on Sunday, I encourage you to reflect upon how you have felt, what you have done, and what you have noticed. There will be much to observe, if you have the eyes, and the will, to see.
